In Europe amenity=water
was often used for places to get arbitrary water. Often, these are open water tanks found in cemeteries that are filled up with either rainwater or water from a tap. Therefore man_made=water_tap

In other parts of the world, it was used for a lot of different meanings. Please see Alternatives.
